I've started a project called Satellite Academy, in an attempt to translate my mood at the moment to sound.
Music has always felt therapeutic to create, but currently, there seem to be no words coming. I can't help but attribute it to the general sense of uncertainty and concern that, like many of us, I am feeling during these very worrisome times.
Rather than be concerned over a lack of lyrical inspiration, I've embraced the sonic aspect, dropping myself at my music workstation for a bit of time nearly every day, letting my feelings dictate the sound and melody of the moment, with a determination to disregard whether what comes out fits within any sort of preconception.
Sonic therapy. A little walk through a dark place. Perhaps we'll find the light together.
